In 1989, Taylor Engineering LLC opened for business in Farmington, MO. Our founder, Frank Taylor, started the firm independently in the basement of an office building as a limited liability corporation. It took him less than two decades to transform the company from a one-man operation into a prosperous civil engineering and land surveying business that supported 13 employees and their families. Taylor Engineering LLC has served as the city engineer for Bismarck, Park Hills and Ste. Genevieve and contracted engineer for Farmington over the course of its history. Our name is connected to some of the region's most significant undertakings, including Maple Valley Drive, Rural King, Hobby Lobby, Desloge City Hall, Farmington's Industrial Park, a number of major water and sewer projects, and more.

Frank Taylor was the original owner and founder of Taylor Engineering LLC. Mr. Taylor, who graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, assembled more than 40 years of experience in the field. In 2011, he rewarded his employees for their hard work by selling the company to them before retiring to Florida just two years later. Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Taylor was a cherished mentor and friend, inspiring countless employees with his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support. Sadly, Frank passed away in December 2024. His legacy will always remain a cornerstone of our company.
